I finished this recently and it has been delivered. The yellow siding was a bit intense with the red brick and green shutters, but it worked out okay. Not as much with the landscaping in this one, especially for flowers. I like having lots of flowers because it is usually a nice pop of color across the portrait, but what can you do. I don’t think this is actually the last phase of the picture, but it is the last photo I took. I’ve been busy and I think I had a brain cramp.

Very nice! And also nice that you can make money from your art with these commissions. Art is hard to sell!

Thanks, Denise. Yes, the portrait work helps pay my other art bills. Last year I got onto Society6.com to merchandise some of my art, too. I and very many other artists basically let them use our artwork on a wide variety of products and I don’t have to carry inventory for it. Not a lot of money involved yet, but it is passive income which I hope will grow. And (dreaming I know) there is always the possibility that someone will come along for a real licensing deal after seeing my work.
