Final of the Snake River painting

The Snake river

I don’t know if you can tell the difference, but this is the final of the Snake River painting.  I like it standing a bit away, but not as much close up.  Still, isn’t most artwork meant to be seen from a distance?  I think I have captured a canyony feel and am pleased with the colors.  I have never done a vista like this before, so it is all new, but I do think it turned out okay.

Ruth, your painting really does have a canyony feel to it! I’ve spent so much time on and around the Snake River, it’s my favorite body of water. This scene reminds me of Twin Falls or Hagerman, although it could be many other sections as well. You packed a lot of scenery into 8×8! Great job.

Thanks, Des. I took the photo from a roadway overlook turnout. There was a path to a fenced ledge to spectacular views up and down the river. I took lots of photos in hopes I would get one good one.

A beautiful landscape Ruth … and fun to see the stages in your previous post!
