The kids’ stained glass

I thought it would be of interest to post the stained glass the kids worked on last week when they took over my studio. My son worked out the design and bought the glass. They both cut and ground the pieces and layed them out. Jessica will do most of the foiling and Justin will return maybe in February so they can solder and put it all together. I can hardly wait.

Hi Ruth~I couldn’t wait to see what your kids created with glass. It’s beautiful! What a wonderful tangible memory to have. I love birds too and can’t think of a nicer design!

Thanks so much. We named our property Wild Crane Overlook because of the wildlife here, especially around the pond. It’s mostly herons that stop by but what the heck. Anyway, that’s the inspiration for the glass. That’s my studio floor by the way.

Thanks. They both took stained glass for two years in high school and it has served as a great hobby as adults.
